1. What Happens at a consultation?
First when you request my services, we discuss your concerns. Then, I prepare for your consultation. At the consultation, we relax first by drinking tea. After a small chat, I will introduce you to several kinds of healings or empowerments, depending on your needs. I may introduce animals that would like to work with you as your guides. I may perform Reiki to infuse you with energy. I may do card readings to introduce you to your Inner Guide. We work together to resolve your concerns and to empower you.
2. Why so many different kinds of healings and empowerments?
Different people respond to different things. Some people resolve problems by talking, while others do so by being active. Other people use touch or sight to gather information. For people who like to learn by touch, I have a large collection of crystals and stuffed animals for them to hold.
3. What is Reiki or energy healing?
All people have energy flowing through and around their bodies. Sometimes this energy becomes blocked. In Dolphin Trilogy Reiki, I channel the energy of the Dolphins and Whales into your body with dolphin crystals. The dolphins swim the energy streams and break up the blockages. With Ma’heo’o Reiki, the Great Spirit works through me to send energy to you. The four elements of earth, air, fire, and water work together to break up the blockages in your body.
4. What are Mythic Journeys?
Myths are a map to the inner wisdom of our ancestors. Myths tap into a dimension of the universe that is inaccessible by other means. They are a way to get in touch with archetypal wisdom of the collective unconscious. We can access this fundamental wisdom for our concerns and endeavors. Through myths, we become connected to our Inner Guide.
Using Mythic Cards of the Celts, Native Americans, and Hawai’ians, I open the world of myths to you. Through the spreads of Soul Wisdom, Medicine Wheel, and the Seven Stars, we follow the soul’s journey to enlightenment. Together, we weave the stories to create your personal mythic journey.
5. What is a Nature Journey?
To obtain healing, people need to be reconnected with nature. Once reunited with nature, people become attuned with the Divine. Through this union, they receive empowerment and wisdom for their lives.
We explore the world of nature. To begin the reconnection, we may take a nature walk, and talk about what we see. We explore the world of nature through animal cards, tree cards, animal puppets, crystals, and stuffed animals. During the Nature Journey, we meet your animal and nature helpers. You will be connected to the Divine and receive guidance and healing.
6. Do you work with animals or children?
Yes, with limitations. I require that the guardian (parent) make the initial request, and that they be always present at the consultations. I need the understanding from an adult as to the nature of the problem. After establishing rapport with the child or animal, I perform Reiki. With children, I focus on healing through friendship with animals. I use stuffed animals and puppets with children.
7. What if your healing does not seem to work?
Then I would meet with you to assess what to do next. If you have problems with doctors, then we work together to seek appropriate professional help.
8. Do you use chemicals, oils, or scents?
I use sage to create a sacred space before every consultation. When I do Dolphin Trilogy Reiki, I burn scented oils. However, if someone has allergies, I will use alternative methods to sanctify the room.
9. Do you do consultations by mail, phone, or the Internet?
I do offer consultations and distant healing by mail and the Internet, but not by phone. I require an initial letter describing your problem and any request of services. We will have follow up communications. Please e-mail me for my mailing address.
10. What if I only want a card reading, or Reiki healing, or to learn my ‘power’ animals?
Of course, I offer each separately. And, I offer these services by mail or the Internet as well.
11. How do I know you are not a fraud?
These days, this is an important question. Things that indicate the legitimacy of a healer are their privacy policies and code of ethics. I own my domain (funkman.org) and pay for my web hosting. This means I have a permanent place on the Internet. I offer secure payment through Pay Pal. This means that I do not gather your financial information, Pay Pal does. I offer free self-help information on my two other sites: ANIMAL Teachers (learn the teachings of over 200 animals), and Green Insanity (understand the mythic journey through Norman Osborn and the Green Goblin of Spider-Man Comics).
