COLD-BLOODED ONES

GECKO

Inventiveness

A Northland Green Gecko

This plump Reptile has a large head and large eyes relative to His small body. With His long tongue, Gecko licks His eyes to keep them moist and clean. In addition, Gecko is known for His call, the shrill bark that startles those near Him.

Gecko is also well known for sticking on smooth areas. The feet of Gecko enable Him to grip smooth surfaces. His broad toes are covered with flaps of skin containing thousands of tiny bristles. Some Geckos cling to house ceilings to prey on Insects that fly by. Other Geckos ride on Tortoises and feed on the Insects attracted to the Tortoises’ feces.

House Geckos are a well-known aspect of the tropics. Resting upside down on a ceiling, They wage war on the hated Insects of humanity – Flies, Roaches, and Mosquitoes. The ultimate in pest control are House Geckos.

Gecko teaches “stick-to-itiveness” and inventiveness. One insurance company in the Washington D.C. (USA) area uses Gecko as a corporate symbol of customer service. But remember, don’t get too stuck that you don’t take action.
