GREAT BLUE HERON

Self Confidence

Great Blue Heron

Great Blue Heron is the largest North American Heron, as well as a brother to Grey Heron of Europe. Found in wetlands and marshes, Great Blue Heron is a solitary hunter. Usually you can see this long-legged Bird, standing motionless in a marsh staring patiently at the water while She waits for a Fish, Frog or Duckling to appear. In a blink of an eye, Heron has a fat Frog, in her beak gulping her meal down.

Quieter than Grey Heron, Great Blue Heron will croak softly when something comes near her nest. Rarely heard, Great Blue Heron will sometimes give an agitated honk in flight. However, most of the time, Heron stands quietly watching.

Even Great Blue Herons’ courtship is quiet and dignified. They strut and float in the air. He will stretch his neck pointing his long beak to the sky. She will initiate a ‘ritual bill duel’ with the male before mating with Him. Together, They construct their nest for the eggs to be laid in.

Great Blue Heron has an innate quiet dignity. A tall thin Bird, Great Blue Heron has much to teach people on how to move gracefully with purpose. Watch the Great Blue Heron to learn about self-confidence.

Important Great Blue Heron Teaching: Self Confidence

He may often appear to have no structure or organization to his habit, but this is far from the truth. It is a matter of perception. Heron teaches us to stand on our own so that we are not dependant upon others.” Copyright: Unknown.
