BLACK SWAN

Panache

Black Swan

The only native Swan of Australia, Black Swan differs from her Swan Relatives in many ways.  Besides being black, Black Swan is the most social of Swans and will even nest in colonies. Nesting with Her Friends on a small island, Black Swan evenly places her nest next to Theirs in an orderly fashion.

Living in the hot dry areas of Australia, Black Swan adapts to the unpredictable nature of her environment. A strong flier, Black Swan covers great distances in search of fresh water and food. In her travels, She will make do, and stay a place if food and nest sites are plentiful. Although, She prefers large permanent expanses of water, Black Swan will settle for temporarily flooded or coastal areas for a while.

Black Swan differs from her Swan Cousins in significant ways. However, She is still a Swan, with grace and style. Black Swan embraces Her Swanness with panache. She calls you to do the same.
